Statesboro Police Department Honored as “Forever Friend”

The Statesboro Police Department was recently honored as a “Forever Friend” by the Forever Eagles for their support of the Southern Pride Marching Band. Mike Broadhead, Chief of Police, accepted the award on behalf of the department. SPD provides police escorts for “Southern Pride To-Go” as part of a community engagement effort.

SPTG can be found touring the city of Statesboro on the Friday night before all Saturday home games. This group, a subset of the Southern Pride Marching Band, loads up on school buses and surprises patrons at local restaurants with a spirited serenade to help get them into the game-day spirit.
